The church became the hub of the community.

Buiilt in 1876 to serve the community of Walkden and Little Hulton, St. John's has stood proudly at the Walkden end of our parish. 

For all St. John's is in the City of Salford, now part of the Eccles Deanery, in the Salford Arch-Deaconry, in the Diocese of Manchester.
